Apartment Property Manager Job Description
The Community Director (property manager) is considered critical to the overall success of our community. The Community Director and Assistant Community Director are responsible for creating and nurturing a sense of community and focus on customer service standards, while also assessing the strengths and weakness of the leasing and maintenance teams, and managing employee incentives accordingly. In addition, the Community Director and Assistant Community Director implement the designated budget, management plan and customer service to accomplish the following goals: control of all accounts receivable/payable, maintenance of a clean, well-maintained community, exceptional resident reviews and third party customer service results and accurate and prompt completion of reports.
General Property Manager Job Requirements
5+ years’ experience with multi-family housing, apartment leasing, apartment maintenance, employee supervision, landlord-resident relations; knowledge of appropriate and effective conduct during emergency situations.
Demonstrated and developed organizational and administrative abilities.
Efficient communication skills toward public, residents, employees, state and local authorities, and upper levels of management; and knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions essential.
Bachelors’ Degree in Business administration, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of college degree.
